Finnos Wins the Startup World Cup Finland 2019!

Finnos won the Startup World Cup Finland 2019! The finale was held in Pakkahuone at Tampere 6.3.2019. There were 8 finalists who pitched in the event.

New possibilities for Finnos scanners

Kauppalehti 4.12.2018 published an article about the history, present and future of Finnos. The history of Finnos goes back to year 1988, when a company called Bintec was established. Bintec was the pioneer of X-ray technology in sawmill industry and year 2016 Finnos bought the business and continued the work. Finnos has been able to reclaim all the promises it made to its customers. In the next year 2019, over 30 sawmills have Finnos X-ray and over 50 % of all sawmill raw material is sorted automatically with them.

Finnos is the startup of the year 2018

Finnos was selected as the startup of the year 2018 in Kasvu Open competition. Finnos was also selected as the audience's favorite. Kasvu Open competition lasted for a year and over 800 companies applied, from which 100 companies was selected to the final. Jury described Finnos as following: "Finnos has evidence that customers are willing to pay for the solution. The company has taken a flying start with its business deal. The product has excellent prerequisites for international growth and new business models."

Finnos Fusion has achieved the goals at Mustola Timber

Puumies (7/2018) -magazine published an article about the results of the Finnos Fusion X-ray scanner at Mustola Timber after 9 month of the commissioning. Mustola Timber is happy with the results. The CEO of Mustola Timber, Raine Koskinen, tells that Finnos promised at least one percent of savings in raw materials and Mustola Timber has saved even more. The X-ray scanner has worked very well regardless of the weather. Koskinen says that even in a small sawmill like Mustola Timber (50 000 m3 of sawn timber) the benefits are remarkable. Finnos is happy to continue working together with Mustola Timber.

Pölkky to invest in Finnos X-ray scanners

In the 1/2018 edition of Pölkky Strong Wood News they inform to invest in X-ray scanners. Next year, X-ray log scanners will be installed to all four Pölkky sawmill plants. Pölkky is interested in measurements under bark, and also in the structure of the log.

More efficient data to UPM Kaukas with Finnos X-ray scanner

UPM Timber published an article (3.8.2018) about the results of the Finnos Fusion X-ray scanner at UPM Kaukas. The measurement of the logs and the safety has improved in the log sorting with the new X-ray scanner. Siru Väkeväinen, the project manager of UPM Kaukas, tells that the scanner has enabled new working stages that weren't possible before. UPM and Finnos are happy with the continuing cooperation.

Striking improvement at Mustola Timber with Finnos Fusion

 Puumies -magazine (1/2018) published an article how Mustola Timber was the first small sawmill commissioning Finnos Fusion X-ray scanner.  Raine Koskinen, the CEO of Mustola Timber, tells that he immediately noticed a difference with the new scanner compared to the old measuring device. Koskinen is confident about the investment and Finnos is happy to have a business partner who is eager to develop.
